Excessive heating of beeswax also reduces its benefits, such as its ability to resist airborne particles like dust, so our wax is carefully prepared in small batches at the lowest temperature possible. Beeswax is made by the female worker-bee for honeycomb, so it is a natural by-product of her work. To produce one pound of beeswax, the worker bee herself eats about ten pounds of honey, flies 150,000 miles, and visits 33 million flower blossoms. Beeswax is truly miraculous stuff – a big thank you to the bees who make it!
